2016 Sasserfraz Junkyard Shoot

In January I had the pleasure of participating in the Sasserfraz Junkyard Shoot! Worked with more photographers than I could keep track of and ended up with tons of amazing images! Here's one of my favorites, by Glen Az. And yes I'm "posing" on a hubcap!

Inspired by Nancy Sinatra

Here's something from my most recent shoot with Rick Bracht! This one was inspired by a shoot Nancy Sinatra did in the late 1960's in a pink bikini and boots, and her guitar. No pink bikini, but I would like to think we captured the feel from back in the day! Huge thanks to Jacob Jackerson for the use of his guitar.

Better than drinking

Tempting as it was to knock back several drinks after a weird and stressful day at work, I stopped at one and got right on to updating my Model Mayhem site. I spent at least an hour and a half at it, and feel like I need to get back to drinking ha ha!

A little catching up...

Emphasis on "a little", costumes to make, acts to create, people to see, places to go... Plus, my cats want attention too! (I'm petting Baby right now, between keystrokes)

This past year has kept me very busy with creating new acts for our themed shows each month. For some shows, I've been able to fit old acts around the theme, for a few I've debuted two acts in one night! It has been grueling, at times. But worth it! And since my list of act ideas is overflowing, it has been quite satisfying to be able to bring a few of my inspirations to life on stage. I've also had the pleasure of enjoying my boyfriend's bands, The Furys, and Cloudless. His shows are always fun. Taking part in several photo shoots last winter has kept me busy as well. Special Announcement! I'm very proud to say that the September 6th Black Cherry Burlesque show was my debut of performing with my Go-Go Tornadoes! We resurrected their first act, Boogie Fever, and it felt like we were Solid Gold dancers! New and exciting things in the works for the Tornadoes, including a new member, a website (soon), and of course, fun new acts!

EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT! Our Black Cherry Burlesque shows are THIS FRIDAY! The ever-entertaining Scotty The Blue Bunny www.scottybunny.com is hosting! Scotty is coming to Tucson from The New York Burlesque Festival and we are very excited for his return to The Old Pueblo. I'll be bringing my Lady Evil act back to the stage, which was my first act ever! I figured it was only fitting for me to do my sultry updated version of it to celebrate 7 wonderful years of performing with Black Cherry Burlesque. More News - Save The Date! The Black Cherry RAW Halloween Spooktacular is Friday October 18, and I'll be gender-bending as a goofy, yet scary tv character! This show is a must-see! The Raw Dogs have put together a chilling song list chock-full of hauntingly strippable tunes!

New Act Update! The Friday November 1st shows will be our very most Halloweeniest show of the season! I'm very excited to debut an act I've dreamed of and wanted to do for years (and I hope you'll all be excited for it too) - Morticia Addams!!!
